Our ‘Piecycles’ play starring role in Tour de Yorkshire

We are proud to be among some of Yorkshire’s finest food and drink producers showcased to the world’s media during the Tour de Yorkshire today at Conisbrough Castle, where we unveiled our special ‘Piecycles’

Journalists from across the world will descend on Yorkshire for the international cycle race, which begins in Beverley on Friday 29th April with the finale in Scarborough on Sunday 1st May.

Media centres will be in place at all the finishes in Settle, Doncaster and Scarborough where journalists can keep up with all the racing action, file copy and feast on delicacies from some of Yorkshire’s best loved food and drink companies.

To celebrate the Tour de Yorkshire riding into the region we have provided special ‘Pie-cycles’ to the Civic Office, Waterdale, Doncaster.

The 450g handcrafted pork pies are made to our family-recipe and sandwich delicious chicken breast with diced dried apricots and cranberry in layers of British Red Tractor pork meat baked in rich hot water crust pastry and finished off with a bicycle design top.

Our showpiece Pie-cycle handcrafted by Roger Topping will also be on display at the media centre in Doncaster.
